Mei Hong is a professor of Communication Department and master’s supervisor. She visited University of Westminster as a visiting scholar during 2011-2012, and worked as a post doctor in Institute of Taoism and Religious Culture in Sichuan University in 2010-2013. She is a board member of Editorial and Publishing Research Committee of Journalism History Society, communication evaluation expert of China Academic Degrees Graduate Education Development Center. She has taken in charge of 1 national projects and 8 provincial ones, and particpated in 2 national projects and 3 provincial ones; published 12 monographs and over 30 academic papers which were mostly published in CSSCI and Chinese core journals, and many of them were forwarded by People University's printed materials. Her paper once won the 3rd Excellent Award of China Published Papers. Mei Hong once conducted academic exchanges in many countries and regions, namely, England, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, etc. She instructed 7 SRTP projects, 2 of which won provincial excellence and 1 won college excellence. One of her two education reform projects was evaluated as college excellence. Her research orientation is new media, editing and publishing, and culture and communication.
